Really I can't put into words (maybe I can!) how pleased
I am for this young man. The amount of pressure he's been under
for so long.
I hoped at the time that his Champions League goal would kickstart
his stalling career. Give him that much needed belief in himself
again, and I think maybe it has.
He's barely scored this season, and when he did - it didn't lead to
a rebirth as many hoped,BUT a Champions League goal is a special thing
indeed - especially when it leads to a win!
Which leads to Sunday's game,and a Hat-Trick!
Well done Mr.Torres - now go to Munich, and bring the Trophy back home
to England!

Hated him for leaving Liverpool & did not wish him any luck but after seeing him go through a crazy spell I must've mellowed cos i'm actually pleased for him now.

Good for you!
It's obvious the lads been troubled for quite sometime.
I can't forget the look on his face when he was on the field
for Spain in the WC in 2010 - he was completely miserable!
Even if he was fighting an injury, you would have thought
that he would have been smiling as he,and his country had just
won their first WC,but like I said - he looked lost.
I think he really believed that a new start somewhere else
would save his career, and until now that didn't look to be true.
It's funny though that his wanting to leave Liverpool seemed
to coincide with the recent (at that time) arrival of Kenny Daglish...
What do you think?

had nothing to do with kenny coming to liverpool,it was cos of hicks and gillet not giving money to buy players he left,if he would have stayed hed be playing up front with suarez now ,who was already signed to play for liverpool ,just think them to upfront together would have been fantastic
im glad hes started scoring but everyone thinks hes back to his best ,to me far from it ,lets face it all his goals have been easy ,even against barcelona when they had to push up,everyones getting far to excited for him
he wont get time and space against liverpool on saterday ,he has to prove himself against them as was hopless against them this season
liverpool fan abbeyrd cheers

Well I have to agree that the Champions League goal was an easy one - all
he had to do was side step the Goalie as he commited himself, and most
players could, and would easily do that,BUT that goal was on a very big
stage, and important as it sealed the victory for Chelsea against Barca
in the dying moments of the game, when Barca were putting the Chelsea goal
under all kinds of pressure.
So that Champions League goal was very important, but most important to
Torres himself,as it could possibly at the time lift his spirits - and it did.
If he hadn't of had that Champions League goal - would he still have had
a hat trick days later?
Cheers,Doc

i still dont think hes settled at chelsea theres too many players who rule the roost ,get rid of terry ,lampard, drogba, then he might have a chance of getting to his best, every game ive seen him play hes fighting for someone to pass to him,his goals are mainly from him doing it himself,if players just passed a early ball to him ,like gerrard did for when he played at liverpool hel be scoring a lot more goals,to many individuals at chelsea there not team players
big overhaul needed at chelsea next season ,alot of cash needs spending on new players

I genuinely don't get this. What's the problem with him leaving? It's a job, end of. Probably getting more money/better chance at winning important trophies and he gets to live in a better city. Easy decision is easy.

Its easy to get, Liverpool are my team so obviously I did not want him leaving to go to a rival team. Obviously they increase their chances of competing at the highest level with the best players possible & Torres at Liverpool he was up there with any of them.
Anyway good luck to the guy, just glad he's not scored against us yet. I think part of his problem is he needs a right good rest, he needs a break where the season finishes & he does nothing until pre season training but he's not gonna get that this year with Spain at the Euros. Same as the last couple of years with Spain at tourneys has not helped him either. Would be good if they had left him out of the squad this time, aye he'd be gutted but would come back fresher & his confidence would go up big time if he got off to a good start when the season started, also the rotation system at Chelsea does not help him.
