Hell of an image, Woomera! Haunting and yet serene. Haunting, serene and beautiful. I note with pleasure what you do with light and shadow here. And the detail, blown up to full size! Had I the wherewithal and the wall, I'd mount a huge print of this photograph on my living-room wall. It's all the philosophy in the history of the world captured in an image. I'm a big fan of your art, but I dare say this is my favorite piece to date.

    As always, thank you.

Thanks seneca, I imagine, if made into a "mural" of sorts it would make a very good conversational piece if nothing else.

It was strange when I visited that spot because the whole graveyard is massive and that image is only a small portion of it, I looked at it for some time. perhaps a little undecided of how to capture it, when I suddenly realized, there was little or no color.
The whole scene was dull, overcast with just a hint of dull green from the trees in the background!
Thus the capture was made in B&W, unfortunately the camera I had was not able to render the image, due to low light, to a higher resolution. Click here to enlarge

Chilling was the only way to describe it!
