I haven't played on a device in a while, I usually use what I can get on my laptop via steam - are most of these for PS/gameboy type of sets?

The only RPG game I play is Torchlight 2. I'm not into online RPG games...in my opinion it's a waste of time and money.

Oh man I am balls deep into this game at the moment. I came to it after starting to get depressed by the general oppressiveness of Fallout 4. The W3 world is so vibrant and alive, it's a joy to exist in. And the characters are fantastic. [SPOILER ALERT] my favourite so far has been the Bloody Baron, what a brilliantly played guy, but in my game he ended up hanging himself after his wife was cursed and killed by the hags. Rarely am I so gutted to bid farewell to an in game character.

I haven't touched Gwent yet though. There was some talk of it becoming a stand-alone game.

Chrono Trigger what a classic and that music. I had a SNES, as we call it in civilised lands, I remember some other great RPGs like Secret of Mana and Earthbound.

I love the old Final Fantasy games but my ultimate favorite RPG is Dragon Warrior. The very first one. I wish I could play it again. Click here to enlarge

Witcher 3. Just finished Blood and Stone DLC. Think I might start the game from scratch to finish off my achievements.

Going way back to the days of the Commodore 64, Phantasie I, II and III were great games. The graphics then were so rudimentary, but the game play was great. After the Phantasie series, I got hooked on Ultimas before finally playing and loving the Might and Magic series. I was really disappointed when they quit making that series. It was always good for a 100 hours or so of game play for me. I never did play Might & Magic X, I don't know if it was very good or not.

Chrono Trigger is my all-time favorite game. I adore it. I love other RPGs of the SNES era, including Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Evermore. Additionally, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age for GBA are both amazing.

I'm a relative newcomer to the Playstation. One of my favorite Youtube gamers played an absolutely brilliant PS2-era RPG: Suikoden 2. You don't need any knowledge of the rest of the series to enjoy the hell out of it. It's on (was on?) the PS eshop. Totally, totally worth it.

Deus Ex or Morrowind, great in their day and still very playable today even with the dated graphics.
