That news is 12 months old all the other manufactures of 3D have since said it is dead

Movies were few and far between, and cost to much. TV station were not permitted to transmit in 3d by the Government (at least in Australia)
Downloads when available were 50Gb in size or more.
You made to sit right in front of the TV to get the best 3D effect so anymore than 3 people it was a much poorer quality.

Still love my 3D TV but use the other features more

I've had one for 2 years but I haven't used it in a long time. Think it was the hobbit part 2 I last used it.

I've got an LG 3D smart TV and am very pleased with it. I have a 3D photo camera and also a 3D camcorder and the results on the TV are great.
I also watch a fair bit of 3D Youtube which works well. I'm not struck on the price of new 3D bluray so tend to buy secondhand on Ebay when I can.
Youtube also has some good 4K video and Netflix and Amazon have 4K video too.

I've thought about a 3D computer monitor so I can view my 3D photos for editing, etc.

I've got a full HD 3D Epson projector. It seems with the rise of 4K, 3D is being phased out on televisions whilst projectors will still support the format. Makes sense as the 3D effect on a realy big screen is much more immersive than a TV
